A visit to China cannot be complete without having visited the five most frequented places by tourists. These places in order are The Great Wall Of China, The Forbidden City, The Bund, West Lake and the Terra Cotta Warriors near Xian province. These are ranked in order of their fame. In fact, if one does not see all these places then their visit to the beautiful picturesque country is deemed incomplete as these tourist destinations are situated nearby major cities in the country.
Close to Beijing is the Great Wall of China that runs over 373 miles and was built way back during the Ming Dynasty somewhere in the 1300's. Later on other dynasties either added sections to this wall or rebuilt broken down segments. The Forbidden City is located inside of the capital of China, Beijing and was until recently forbidden to foreigners. Since the time its doors have opened up to non-Chinese people, it has become one of the most visited destinations. Situated in Shanghai, the bund is a place that foreigners find alluring because of its magnificent view. A natural splendor, the West Lake is situated in the midst of natural Chinese scenery.
Although the last splendor in this list is the Terracotta warriors near the Xian province, it is one of the most splendid of all Chinese creations. This dig site amasses over 8000 warriors made from Terracotta with generals and other varying ranks depicted through a difference in height and in their armor. There are many more places that should be in this list had there been any space left however, these five are taken to be the most visited and liked of all tourist destinations in China.
